Delete your account

Delete in the app

1. Open Buildean and sign in.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select Account, then Delete Account.
4. Review the deletion summary and confirm your request.

The app may ask you to authenticate again to protect the account. Once confirmed, access is disabled and the deletion process begins. If your workspace belongs to an organization, deleting your individual account does not delete records the organization is legally entitled to retain or content owned by that workspace; contact the workspace administrator for those records.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, email us from the address associated with your Buildean account. Include your full name and the business or workspace name, if applicable. Do not send your password or payment-card information. We may ask for limited additional information to verify that you control the account.

We normally complete verified requests within 30 days and will email you when the active account deletion is complete or explain any lawful reason for an extension or limited retention.

What is deleted

Subject to verification, workspace ownership, and legal retention duties, deletion covers:

• your Buildean sign-in account, profile, preferences, and authentication association;
• business profile information owned solely by your account;
• projects, clients, estimates, proposal records, notes, and files owned solely by your account;
• device notification tokens and account-linked app settings; and
• personal information in active support systems that is no longer needed.

Documents you previously exported or sent remain with you and their recipients. Deleting an invited team member does not automatically erase legitimate business records controlled by the workspace owner; those records are separated from the deleted user profile where appropriate.

What may be retained

Some information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, fraud-prevention logs, or Firebase installation records for up to 180 days before deletion or overwrite. We may retain transaction, tax, and accounting records for seven years, a minimal unsubscribe record, and information required for a legal hold, dispute, security investigation, or other legal obligation. Retained information is restricted to those purposes and is not used for marketing.

Cancel app-store subscriptions separately

Account deletion and app removal do not cancel subscriptions billed by Apple or Google. To prevent future charges, cancel the subscription before deleting your account:

• Manage or cancel a Google Play subscription
